Miami

Throughout my years here in the States, whilst I was anchored in the Boston area, my brother Jon was making frequent visits from the UK to hang out with me in Massachusets. He finally made the move and landed himself a condo in Manhattan whilst running a jewelry business. So here is a guy who is a registered architect in Britain decides he wants to market jewelry in the States.

By hook or by crook he made it work. I would go hang out in NY city with him and we would go to all the great jazz bars where we saw some of the world's great musicians playing in some of the smallest dives imaginable. Now THAT was an awesome period in my life.

At some point he decided that Miami was a more favorable place for him and he relocated, through friends and contacts, down to sunny Florida.

Whilst he was living in Miami I was doing a lot of Harley riding up in Boston. I had my new Harley Heritage and hung out in a bar called The Chicken Bone. Famous for its incredible wings (Thermonuclear), the place was packed with bikers. Sadly, hanging out here did not do my marriage any good----well, thats altogether another story.

So Jon decided to get a Harley---first he got a wimpy Sportster, and then he grew up and got a beautiful looking Springer, which I don't think is made any more.

When Boston was freezing it's nuts off in those miserable winters (another story) I would already have shipped my bike down to Miami so I would fly down and we would ride all over the place---great days.
