Kennedy Space Center

You have to come here to appreciate the enormity of space travel. Everything is HUGE! It's an awesome place to spend a day browsing around the exhibitions and learning stuff you could never imagine unless you came to see it. It's also a wonderful thing to actually see a live launch. I did it from across the water from Canaveral and it is amazing. The powerful sounds that are created when the rocket fires up and launches are something to behold.

Most people don't realize that it is a beautiful area around Cape Canaveral where Kennedy Space Center is. The wildlife is great. I've encountered wonderful birdlife, wild hogs, a 10 foot gator on the road-- I went right by him thinking it was a rock, as I reversed back to check him out I spooked him and he headed into the woods.

Here he is getting out of my way.........;.
