What can you say about beautiful Boston, Massachusetts-- I lived 25 miles outside Boston but a lot of my business was downtown.

Down town near South St. This area was called the Leather District—a bunch of Leather Manufacturers reside here. I did a lot of work for Berman Leather here.
I just Googled Berman Leather and Lo and Behold up comes Roger Berman the very man I used to deal with. My company did his HVAC work in his buildings for years.

Marty Berman
Marty gets his own title block he was so important to how my life shaped out. Marty was a Lawyer and Real Estate Developer who, at first, mainly dabbled in residential real estate. My first job in the States when I got here in 1979, was to take care of Marty’s buildings. My soon to be father and mother in law were managing his buildings. When he bought his first Commercial building (15, Court Sq- Boston) in the Financial District it was right up my street as I had cut my teeth on Pharmaceutical Designs in Johannesburg for several years. As the building got upgraded I would remove the hold HVAC equipment and replace it with water source heat pumps. As time passed Marty realized what a forward thinking move this was and I became his HVAC hero. He bought more buildings including 100 Boylston St right opposite The Common.
A very fine man-Marty Berman.
100 Boylston St, Boston now belongs to Emerson Collage.
15 Court Sq, Boston— The first commercial work my company (ASB Mechanical Inc) had done. This was Marty’s first building downtown. This was also where I met another very fine man Patrick O Donnell. Pat was running all the build outs for Marty. Al and Josy Maxted were working for Berman Realty at the same time. Al was doing build outs and Josy was on first floor reception.
The David Maxted Factor
If you look at the above building, 15 Court Sq, it’s tough to believe that David and I installed a steel duct from the first floor all the way up to the roof!!! There was a gold smelting operation going on at a Jeweler and we had to get rid of the stink it was causing. We installed the duct next to the windows so that as we went passed each floor David could climb out the window and install the brackets holding the duct. I had tied a rope around his waste and he literally hung by the rope after I tied the other end to a nearby desk!
This area by the Harbor houses many Artists Galleries and Photographers Galleries.
